BAPTISM PREPARATION

The baptismal process is in three stages: (1) pre-enrollment, (2) enrollment and preparation, and (3) baptism and continued incorporation.

During the pre-enrollment period, the individual or family attend church regularly and discuss their plans with the Rector.

With enrollment, the candidate is introduced to the congregation and a series of preparation classes is held. These are geared to the needs of the individual or family and provide an opportunity to share your faith journey, learn more about the Bible and the Church, and think about how God is calling you in your daily life and/or how you may raise your child as a Christian.

Baptism itself takes place at the Sunday service on one of four or five special occasions during the year. It is followed by continued support and fellowship as the child or adult grows in faith in the parish community.
