Local Traffic: Chapel Street, which runs in front of the church, also runs along the southern edge of the New Haven Green; it is not always two-way! St. Paul & St. James is east of the Green, very near Wooster Square.

If you are driving from Hamden on Whitney Avenue, turn left onto Edwards Street; right onto State Street; then left onto Chapel Street; then right onto Olive Street.

If you are driving east on CT-34, leave CT-34 as it turns onto Ella Grasso Blvd., and drive straight across the Boulevard onto George Street; follow George Street all the way through town until it runs out, and at the end turn left onto Union Street; at the end of Union Street, right onto Chapel; then right onto Olive Street.

From I-95: Take Exit 47 onto the CT-34 Connector - if you are northbound, it is a left exit; take Exit 1 off the Connector, and drive straight; at a stop light, turn right onto Church Street; go to Chapel Street and turn right; then go to Olive Street and turn right.

From I-91 (southbound): Take Exit 2 (Hamilton Street); at the end of the ramp, turn right onto Hamilton Street; when Hamilton Street runs out, turn right onto Chapel Street; when you see the church on your left, turn left onto Olive Street.

Week-Days: On-street parking is available around the church. Be sure to pay attention to street-sweeping limitations!

Sunday Mornings: In addition to on-street parking, St. Paul & St. James is permitted to use the Sally’s Pizza lot - at the corner of Olive and Wooster Streets - and the Comcast lot on Olive Street, at the intersection of Olive and Wooster Streets.
