Youth Ministry

The Titans youth group is geared for all those in grades 5-12. (In case you’re wondering, the name for our group comes from the movie, Remember the Titans, about the struggles and challenges that a high school football team and its community went through as black and white teammates started to work together and win.)

Our regular meetings generally last for about 90 minutes after the 10:30 Sunday service and include fun and games, lunch, learning, and much more. We learn about each other, our faith, and the world in which we live. We also have special events and trips that we’ll let you know about when they happen.

We use Rite 13 from the Journey to Adulthood (J2A) program as a rite of passage for our kids around their 13th birthday. Confirmation is offered to youth age 16 and up, after a period of preparation.

J2A ready to leave for New York City.

Many of the Titans are also actively involved in other St. PJ’s ministries, including Light and Peace, Loaves and Fishes, acolyting, lay reading, and the flower guild. The group has also been well supported by parents and guardians.

Rides are available for those who need them. There is also some financial assistance for those who require it for special youth group events and activities.

Youth and parents, for more information, please contact Kyle Pedersen (kyle_pedersen@yahoo.com or 772-0294).

Remember, your friends are always welcome.
