Sunday School

The Children's Garden
St. PJ's is delighted to offer the Children's Garden Sunday School for children ages 3-10, coinciding with the first half of our worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Under the leadership of Molly Clayton, our kids learn about the same Bible stories as their parents downstairs, ask questions, and enjoy hands-on arts and crafts.

A message from Ms. Molly: "Our prayer is that the Children's Garden at St. PJ's will be a fertile environment for families to grow in faith, not only on Sunday mornings, but also at home. We use Isaiah 58:11 to guide our vision: 'And the LORD will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.' A garden is a beautiful image of growth and vitality that goes beyond Sunday mornings and reaches into our homes and community."

Where is Sunday School?

Families are asked to begin together in the Sanctuary. During the welcome message right at the start of the 10:30 service, children will be invited to depart the Sanctuary together, following their teachers out to the west hallway and up the stairs to the second-floor classroom. They will return during the Peace, just in time for Communion.

Within the Sanctuary, families are invited to sit anywhere they like. A special Pray-and-Play area in the back is provided as just one fun and comfortable option, especially for those kiddos still too young for Sunday School.
