A deep bond between Loaves and Fishes and St. PJ's
Loaves & Fishes was founded as a ministry of St. Paul's (now St. PJ's) in 1982 when church member Hanne Howard began stocking the church office with non-perishable food for neighbors in need. In 1992, retired priest Joan Horwitt established the additional clothes closet.
Today, Loaves and Fishes is its own independent non-profit organization still run from the St. PJ's undercroft (a fancy church word for basement), and many St. PJ's members volunteer and even serve on its board. While any questions should be directed to Loaves & Fishes itself, the church is delighted for this holy and invaluable partnership to continue!
A note about parking for volunteers and visitors
The church parking lot is tiny and fills up fast, so most visitors find neighborhood street parking within a couple blocks. If you do park in the lot off Chapel Street, use only the church-owned spots against the building or along the southern fence by Sally's. Please do not park against the playground fence on your left (across the lot from the church); those are residential spots only.

For as in one body we have many members and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” - Romans 12:4-5
