Lonely? In the hospital? Shut-in at home with mobility issues? Suffering a personal loss?
For St. PJ's members in need, the church is here to provide loving pastoral presence. A team of volunteers supports our half-time priest-in-charge by visiting, praying for, providing meals, and bringing Communion to our fellow members who can use the support.
The Pastoral Care Team is also active in the Wednesday Noonday Prayer and Thursday Compline worship services, praying for everyone on the St. PJ's prayer list by name.
To request pastoral care, add a name to the prayer list, or inquire about volunteering with the Pastoral Care Team, please contact the church office. Just email [email protected] or call (203) 562-2143. You can also request an appointment with the priest-in-charge.

Why Pastoral Care?
We do well to listen first before we define or deduce what God is doing in and with someone else. Before we speak, there’s often a prior invitation to
simply be with another person, and in so doing to re-present God Emmanuel, God with us." - Br. Curtis Almquist, SSJE
